Power Smoothies

Let’s talk about adding power smoothies into your diet! Not only are these delicious, you can mix and match and create whatever flavors or benefits you want! If you don’t have a blender, invest in one so that you can start combining foods that will help and heal you into a treat rather than making it a chore. I currently use a blender, but am saving to get a magic bullet. I tend to drink these for breakfast so I could use something a little more grab and go. You can use a food processor as well to prepare these. They are best served fresh. Here is my little cheat sheet. I have only used organic baby spinach in my smoothies, and if you are wary about the taste- don’t be! The other flavors mask the spinach taste. Experiment. Try other add ins like Honey or ginger. I personally always use a Vanilla Greek Yogurt so I am getting those live and active cultures. And I add some splashes of Almond Milk or 100% fruit juice too for added nutrients.
